Shrine of the Stone Lions

Very interesting. The use of carved lions to "guard" temples, etc goes WAY back in Europe, Asia and Egypt.

I've seen a photo somewhere of the stone lions surrounded by a ring of white antlers. Placing the antlers must be done at certain times of the year for ceremonial purposes and then removed.
